I’m fascinated by how organisms came to be the way they are. I enjoy learning about natural history, making scientific knowledge understandable for people around the world, and bringing people together to do something fun and useful.
Currently, I’m a postdoc in the Keogh Lab at the Australian National University (ANU) where I did my thesis on the macroevolution of Australian blindsnakes. Before coming to the ANU, I completed my M.S. in Biological Sciences at Auburn University under the supervision of Dr. Dan Warner studying developmental plasticity of reptiles.
Apart from research, I like photography, scuba diving, playing and refereeing football (soccer), and seeing as much of the world as possible. Whenever possible, I spend time in nature and immerse myself into different cultures to appreciate the (bio)diversity of life.
