Recent outings to Namadgi National Park
Cercartetus nanus Last weekend we went to Namadgi National Park in the hopes of finding the eastern pygmy possum (Cercartetus nanus). We ended up finding one around 21:00 close to the Lower Cotter Catchment.

Finally saw a platypus!
Visited Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve yesterday with a few mates and finally saw the platypus at “The Santuary.” It’s a priviledge to see them up close because they are usually very secretive and often show up very far away.

1st Blind snake and a couple more lifers over the long weekend
15 months after starting my PhD, over the long weekend I got to see my first goanna in Australia, a bandy bandy, and a blind snake!
